On Sunday 27 November, 34 talented 11-year-olds attended a Surrey development camp for swimmers, which is the first step on the national talent pathway.
Led by Surrey coach Stuart McCrea, and six other county skills coaches, the swimmers had an amazing day with sessions in the pool, land training and some classroom work.
In the pool, working on and reinforcing the essentials of streamlining and turns, no one managed the challenge of performing a complete somersault on top of the water, despite many attempts!
The swimmers have two more camps to look forward to to complete their year.
