Terry Moore, a founder member of Addington Swimming Club in 1959, has passed away. She was 96.

A stalwart volunteer for more than half a century, she covered many roles including all aspects of club administration, arranging foreign exchange visits and organising jumble-sale fundraising.
In 2005 she was the recipient of a Torch Trophy Trust award, nominated by the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA), in recognition of outstanding service to sport.
Diane Gamble, of Croydon Borough Swimming Association (CBSA), said: “She dedicated her life to swimming in a very deprived area of Croydon – Addington – where she lived all her married life. She was a force to be reckoned with.”
Terry had been an official for Surrey and the former Southern Counties ASA for more years than most can remember. She was a London Region official at its infancy as well as a life member, past secretary and past president of CBSA.
Together with a group of neighbours and the local community association, she persuaded Croydon Town Council to build a swimming pool in New Addington, which opened in 1963.
