Many congratulations to Guildford City’s swimmers and coaching team in achieving a best ever 2nd place in Sunday’s Arena National Swimming League Final, held at Cardiff.
Only headed by Plymouth Leander, who included their Olympic Champion Ruta Meilutyte, Guildford showed great strength in depth in the junior age-groups and in the relays. Competing against swimmers such as recently-crowned World 100m breaststroke record holder Adam Peaty, Guildford led the competition at one stage and hung on to claim second place ahead of Millfield (3rd) and Stockport Metro (4th) in front of their delighted band of spectators.
Jordan McPhail and Isabella Fakkel took the awards for the most improved Boy and Girl in the U11 age groups.
