{"id":8727,"date":"2022-06-29T09:30:46","date_gmt":"2022-06-29T08:30:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=8727"},"modified":"2025-04-02T10:24:06","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T09:24:06","slug":"annual-council-meeting-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=8727","title":{"rendered":"Annual Council Meeting 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1036 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"190\" height=\"190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-100x100.png 100w, https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM.png 358w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 190px) 100vw, 190px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The ACM took place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/maps\/@51.2369048,-0.6051176,17z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holiday Inn Guildford<\/a> on Tuesday 21 June.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The meeting reviewed the <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/Finance-Report-ACM-21st-June-2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">finance report<\/a> for the preceding three years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The following were elected executive officers for 2022-23:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Chair: Dr Jeni Colbourne MBE (Guildford City Swimming Club)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Treasurer: Mr Jim Boucher (Guildford Water Polo Club)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Secretary: vacant<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Catherine Ferguson (Woking Swimming Club) was installed as the president.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Alan Thurlow (Wandsworth Swimming Club) was the recipient of the president\u2019s plate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=2716\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Vine<\/a> (Leatherhead Swimming Club) and <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=5594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Matt Smart<\/a> (Guildford City Swimming Club) were recipients of county coach awards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=7737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alicia Wilson<\/a> (Guildford City Swimming Club) was made an honorary life member.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/Carole-Chaplin.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Carole Chaplin<\/a> (Surrey Schools&#8217; Swimming Association), <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/Paul-Finch.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul Finch<\/a> (Merton Swordfish Swimming Club) and Francisco Diaz Romero (Star Diving Club Guildford) were made honorary life vice-presidents.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The minutes of the meeting are <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-minutes-21.6.2022.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ACM was held at the Holiday Inn Guildford on Tuesday 21 June.
