County Development Programme 2022<\/strong><\/p>\n

The county development programme is the first phase of the Swim England talent pathway. \u00a0A change in the criteria and programming will take place to cover the 11 year old camp from September 2022<\/p>\n

Selection Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n

A maximum of 36 (18 Male \u2013 18 Females) will be selected to attend a one day County Development day camp and Follow-up Zoom talk.\u00a0 Only swimmers who swam in the Surrey County Championships 2022 were selected for this camp.<\/p>\n

11 year old Male and Female (age as at 31 December 2021), in each event; 50m, 100m, 200m Events, and 400m Free. \u00a0If the highest ranked swimmer has been selected from an event, we will go to the 2nd<\/sup>, 3rd<\/sup>, 4th<\/sup>\u00a0ranked swimmer etc.\u00a0\u00a0 Further wildcard selections can be made from 2nd<\/sup>, 3rd<\/sup>\u00a0and then 4th<\/sup>\u00a0etc ranked swimmers, \u00a0where swimmers have equal ranking, selections will be made according to FINA Point Scores.<\/p>\n

All attendees will be asked to contribute to the costs of the camp, and is payable in advance of attending (further letters will be sent out).\u00a0The camp is heavily subsidised by Surrey County Swimming ASA.<\/p>\n

If a swimmer is unable to attend the day camp, this must be advised no later than two weeks following the publication of the team date so an alternative swimmer may be selected. \u00a0This is to maximise the benefit that can be obtained from this camp.<\/p>\n

Stuart McCrea (County Coach and Programme Lead)\u00a0will lead the camp along with the County Skills Coaches.<\/p>\n
