{"id":4183,"date":"2018-06-29T15:00:57","date_gmt":"2018-06-29T14:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=4183"},"modified":"2025-04-02T10:13:35","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T09:13:35","slug":"annual-council-meeting-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/?p=4183","title":{"rendered":"Annual Council Meeting 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1036 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-300x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"180\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-100x100.png 100w, https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM.png 358w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 180px) 100vw, 180px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">The ACM took place at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Holiday+Inn+Guildford\/@51.2370688,-0.605168,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x4875d0e6b3c80b39:0xd737b400e07514d4!8m2!3d51.2370655!4d-0.6029793\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Holiday Inn Guildford<\/a> on Thursday 28 June.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The meeting reviewed the <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/ACM-accounts-28.6.2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">finance report<\/a> for the preceding year and the <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/Competition-Committee-Annual-Report-2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Competition Committee annual report<\/a> (includes president, masters swimming, diving, synchronised swimming,\u00a0 schools, age group swimming).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">An <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/Surrey-County-ASA-Constitution-28.6.2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">updated constitution<\/a> was also ratified.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">The following were elected executive officers for 2018-19:<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Chair: Dr Jeni Colbourne MBE (Wey Valley Swimming Club)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Secretary: Mr Francisco Diaz (Star Diving Club Guildford)<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u2022 Treasurer: Mr Jim Boucher (Guildford Water Polo Club)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Collette Crow (Kingston Synchronised Swimming Club) was installed as the president.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">David Vine (Leatherhead Swimming Club) was the recipient of the president&#8217;s plate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/DavidBryant.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Bryant<\/a> (Guildford City Swimming Club), <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/LyndaCoggins.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lynda Coggins<\/a> (Farnham Swimming Club), <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/JodieCox.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jodie Cox<\/a> (Guildford City Swimming Club) and <a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/AnnaMaine.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anna Maine<\/a> (Woking Swimming Club) were made honorary life members.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/surreyswimming.org\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/DianeGamble.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Diane Gamble<\/a> (Croydon Amphibians Swimming Club) was made an honorary life vice-president.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Special awards went to Alys Thomas (formerly Kingston Royals Swimming Club) and Josh Luff (Kingston Water Polo).
