Swim England is set to host 13 roadshows across the country over the next three months to help shape its future direction and culture.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Values and Vision Roadshows are open to all members of the Swim England aquatics community \u2013 from athletes and coaches to club officers, officials and other volunteers.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Attendees will have the opportunity to take part in engaging activities and help define the governing body\u2019s purpose and provide input into its future values.<\/span><\/p>\n

Andy Salmon, the organisation\u2019s new chief executive officer who will be leading the sessions, said: \u201cThe roadshows are an essential part of our response towards a number of recommendations which were contained in the Listening Report.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThey are an opportunity for the entire aquatics community to help shape the future direction we take as an organisation and, most importantly, our culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe that an action plan alone will not bring about the change we all want to see. Therefore, as we take further steps on our cultural-change journey we want to hear from our members and stakeholders.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Salmon said that by covering a wide spread of locations nationwide during May, June and July would allow even more people the chance to come along and have their say on what was a \u201ccritical piece of work\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added: \u201cThe events will help create a clear vision for our sports and lead to a robust set of values that will be relevant, meaningful and specific to the aquatics community.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe will then refresh our 10-year Access Aquatics<\/a> strategy which will be guided by the new vision and values, and have our safeguarding, welfare and culture plan \u2013 Heart of Aquatics<\/a> \u2013 and the learning from the Listening Report running through as a golden thread.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Salmon will be joined at the roadshows by Swim England board members, senior leadership and team staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dates include Tuesday 4 June (Holiday Inn Reading West, Reading), Wednesday 5 June (Bridge Hotel, Greenford, north London) and Thursday 6 June (Coulsdon Manor Hotel, Croydon).<\/span><\/p>\n

Two sessions will be held daily. Choose from 2pm – 4pm or 6pm – 8pm. <\/span>Click on the map to book a place. Registrations close seven days before each event. Attendees must be over 16.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
