Applications are invited for the role of Surrey County Coach<\/strong> whose responsibilities will include:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 County pathway camps (12-year-olds)<\/span>
\n\u2022 National County Team Championships (12 to 17-year-olds)<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a high-visibility role in the county. The successful candidate will be actively involved in the team selection process of age group swimmers, and given the opportunity to work directly with highly-talented, top county swimmers to ensure a good level of success at camps and competitions. The county coach role is a two-year appointment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Applicants should meet all these criteria<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Existing coach at a Surrey club<\/span>
\n\u2022 UKCC level 2 qualified, or above<\/span>
\n\u2022 Actively involved with coaching age group swimmers at their current club<\/span>
\n\u2022 Actively involved in Swim England-approved county or regional programme<\/span>
\n\u2022 Have a proven track record of success with age group swimming<\/span>
\n\u2022 Carry a current DBS and safeguarding certification<\/span><\/p>\n

Time commitment<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Preparation and communication with Team Manager for the selection of age group swimmers (county camps and championships, limited travelling involved)<\/span>
\n\u2022 Preparation and attendance at three one-day county camps at ACS Cobham International School and Zoom (November, March & June)<\/span>
\n\u2022 Attendance at the annual coach workshop held by Swim England <\/span>
\n\u2022 Provide coaching plans, talks and presentation preparation for each county camp for 12-year olds (no travel time involved)<\/span>
\n\u2022 Attendance at county team-building session in September, in readiness for the National County Team Championships<\/span>
\n\u2022 To attend the weekend of the National County Team Championships (October)<\/span><\/p>\n

Personal attributes<\/strong><\/span>
\n\u2022 Excellent communication skills<\/span>
\n\u2022 Energetic with a high level of motivational skills<\/span>
\n\u2022 Must be able to travel with the team and be away from home as required<\/span><\/p>\n

All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. Hotel accommodation and subsistence at the National County Team Championships will be provided. The county camps will be remunerated in line with Swim England\u2019s pathway programme guidance.<\/span><\/p>\n
