Barnes Swimming Club in South West London are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational L2 coach to develop our Junior swimmers and help drive our continued success.
Working part-time (6-12 hours depending on availability plus competition attendance), rate negotiable for the right candidate.
Skills required:
• Excellent communication skills
• Show an appropriate level of technical knowledge
• Good time management, ability to use time efficiently and effectively
• Swimmer focused
• Your main role will be to build the squad programme whilst working closely with our head coach
• Plan, execute and evaluate training programme under the guidance of the head coach to meet the programme criteria
• Have an excellent ability to give positive and constructive feedback to all swimmers
• Liaise with parents and swimmers regarding all matters relevant to the swim programme
• Liaise with head coach regarding all matters relevant to the swim programme
• Lead with purpose and by example to all swimmers
• Oversee and guide swimmers on their meet entries
• Attend and supervise swimmers at competitions
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, attainment, and all other relevant documentation required
• Complete any other activities deemed necessary to ensure the smooth running and successful improvement of the club
• Have previous experience working as a club coach/development coach
